Meet Ashlyn
I am a self-taught painter and for the past couple years have fallen in love with the magic of artful gift giving. As I have embarked on the journey of live painting, I have found that there is truly no other moment more magical and treasured than that of the union of two lovely souls on their wedding day. You can only imagine the joy that comes to my heart with being able to add a touch more of that magic to your special day in the form of art. Creating these timeless and treasured gifts for your guests is truly one of my greatest joys! These live portraits are a unique way for your guests to feel special, and remember such a beautiful and cherished day.

Live Painting Process

BEFORE YOUR BIG DAY
- To inquire, please click INQUIRE below to fill out the “Live Wedding Guest Painting Application” form. After receiving your inquiry, I will respond within 24-48 hours with information about the live guest painting service.
- To secure your date, you will need to place a 20% deposit and return a signed contract.
- Prior to the wedding, we will have a meeting to discuss any accommodations or details about the wedding day to make sure we are on the same page!
YOUR WEDDING DAY
- I will show up 1 hour before the wedding ceremony to set up my art equipment. As guests arrive, I will begin working on their portraits.
- My assistant will be taking pictures of the guests as my reference for each painting. One painting takes 3-5 minutes to complete, which equates to about 10-13 paintings in one hour. In the circumstance that I am unable to complete all the paintings, I will finish the rest of the guest paintings at my studio the following week and ship to you (free of charge) for distribution.
- By the end of the night, each guest will be able to take home their painting.
- 4"x6" watercolor paintings of guests on high quality handmade 300 GSM thick white deckle edge cotton paper with a touch of whimsy and elegant style for guests to take home.
- Painting of you and your spouse, your choice of a gold or silver frame.
- Approximately 4-6 hours of live painting entertainment for your guests to enjoy as the paintings come to life!
Pricing starts at $500.
- This starting price includes the live guest portraits, 4-6 hours of painting at the venue, and the cost to drive 100 miles round trip from my home located near Norfolk, Virginia. If your wedding location is further than the 100 miles, we will discuss travel costs prior to your booking.
Q: Do you offer an option to piant guest portraits without actually coming to the wedding live?
A: Yes! You can send me pictures of your guests and I can paint them from my studio. Please visit my Etsy shop at THIS LINK to read more details and purchase the remote guest portraits. If my shop is on vacation mode, send me a message and we can work something out!
Q: Will you finish my paintings by the end of the night?
A: Yes! Although, sometimes I do have to finish a few of them back at my studio and then ship to you, free of any extra charges.
Q: How many paintings can you finish in a night?
A: Typically I can paint 9-12 paintings per hour. So, if I was there for 6 hours I would range from 54-72 paintings. Time spent on a painting depends on how many people are in the portrait as well.
Q: Can you do more than one painting per person/couple?
A: I usually try to stick to one painting per couple (as time is precious); however, I am open to the possibility if time permits :)
Q: How far are you willing to travel?
A: I'm willing to travel anywhere within the U.S.A. (excluding Alaska and Hawaii), though travel fees/pricing will vary.
